my question is that what are the rules or laws for muslim girls to marry? i mean when their parents say that you have a choice to say no to whomever we pick, then when they pick a man for them and the girls are told that they have to marry them because thats what islam said, or that what good girls do in our family? i want to know why that is said tha way and what should muslim girls do when their parents do that?

it is important because your mum and dad is your key to cennet and they are your leaders they know better than we do

there is a story of a woman who went to see the prophet Muhammed (pbuh) she said to him that her father had forced her to marry a man that she did not wish to marry. The prophet (pbuh) asked her if she accepted the marriage, the woman said no she hadn't. The prophet (pbuh) said to the woman then go home and marry whomever you wish to marry. The woman then told the prophet that she had accepted the marriage but wanted other muslim women to know that they did have a choice to whom they are to marry. I hope that helped.
