I have a 17 week old Berner and for the last three weeks he has had inflammation on his right elbow. It slowly grew to about 1 square inch and then slightly decreased in size but remains. Now his left elbow is showing signs of some inflammation. He has been to 2 different vets 3 times each regarding this matter. The inflammation does not have increased white blood cells (it is neither septic nor infected). The first vet put him on cephalexin and prednazone. The first vet how says he should have a drain put in while the second vet advises a drain is possible or wait it out since it doesn't seem to bother the puppy. Has anyone else had this problem? Help! I'm not sure what to do, especially now that the second elbow is starting to swell.
