Neptune's dark spot is an existing and permanent feature to this mysterious planet.  The dark spot, similar to Jupiter's red spot, is made of giant clouds of vaporized ammonia, water, and traces of methane.  For ever and ever, this raging storm that has an area larger than earth will rage on, destructing and killing any possible organisms or matter on this undiscovered planet.

This is a very controversial question many people believe that these spots stressing on the fact that there are multiple spots... are more often said to be just holes in the atmosphere. The Great red spot is a storm that has been raging for as long as we have known about Jupiter... And the Great dark spot on Neptune (the biggest one) used to be in the northern hemisphere but disappeared and reappeared in the southern hemisphere...

The "Storm" will last forever because with the mix of the gasses, with the high pressure and heat cause winds and when these gasses are compressed into each other the water creates a buble wich contains the other gasses inside so when it falls it will rise back up again at a higher speed then ours and will keep going and because of the pressure will last forever
