I just got my first tattoo a week ago. I got a 2 1/2 inch by 2 1/2 inch design I made myself on my left should blade. I am REALLY scared of needles and almost passed out last year when I got my finger pricked to check my iron level to give blood. I honestly can say that getting a tattoo is nothing like I have ever felt before in my life. It wasn't "Pain". It was more a "sensation". I know, that's weird. It didn't really hurt, but it was more uncomfortable. It was a mixture of what it feels like if a body part falls asleep and someone were to draw on it with a pen really hard-- it just feels really funny. I actually giggled for half my tattoo. When it got near to bone it stung a little but it didn't really feel like a needle. If anyone has any questions E-mail me! berrypink@earthlink.net   I totally want to hear opinions from other people and I would be so excited to answer any questions about before, during and after getting a tattoo. ;o)

Not always.... It tends to be where you get the tattoo done

of course it hurts, your skin is being jabbed thousands of times a minute with a needle. but it depends on where you get one and your tolerance and stamina for pain. it never hurts as much as you think and you can usually deal with the pain fairly easily due to the endorphins in your body. i get a massive high when ever i get a tat done. it only lasts for a short period, after that its all endurance. but its not that bad.

well i am 18 years old rite now. and i just got my first tattoo about 5 weeks ago. at first i thought it was going to hurt like hell!! and guess what? when they first started IT DID! I FELT LIKE I WAS GOING TO PASS OUT!! it was burning like crazy. so i told them to take a break. so i needed water. i knew if i didn't do this, my tattoo was going to look unfinished so i just sat down and got it over with. all u have to do is think of something besides a tattoo when your getting it. and now its completely healed and it was soo worth it!
