This is the third day that our shih-tzu has been in heat.  When is the best time to try to breed her, and what is the normal time that it takes before the babies are born?

ok do you have a male around everyday if so she will let him know {2} if there isnt a male around everyday  when the blood  stops she will be ready to breed and as for the puppies the mother will wean them herself  look on line about weaning puppys it will give you answers you whant or ask someone you know or ask a vet  but the puppies can leve there mother a 7weeks no earler hope i was of help
