I was wondering if certain states have laws about piercing the belly button at certain ages. Because I cant seem to find a place that will allow people under 15 to pierce with a parent.

in texas the law is under 14

sounds like you need to wait untill you are 15. I am in a state where it is 15 i will be 15 in 9 days, but i also have a ? if i get my belly peirced, can my mother make me take it out, or just ground me?

you wont be able to get pierced unless your mom signs a parental consent form, 15 is just the minimum age, you have to be 18 to get it done without a parents consent.

well i live in the state of Mississippi and i think that you have to be 18 to get it done period which sucks big time cause i really want mine done and so my mom is taking me to alb to get mine done where you have to be 14!!

there is no piercing laws in Idaho but a dumn a s s righty (republican) is going to change that soon

yeah i dont know either cause i live in texas and i have been calling around and you have to be 16 for cartilage and belly button

In State of Washington you have to be 16 to get a body part pierced, and 18 to get a body part pierced without a parents consent.

Wow, I didnt realize anyone younger than 16 got anything pierced but ears...why the hell would you? middle schoolers with piercing...even if you see it as merely jewelry and artist, a bit of your decision still has be tinged with rebellion. Thats just lame.

well i live in illinois and i got my eyebrow pierced and a tattoo and i was 14 and i didn't have a parent with me.

I am 14 and i have 2 cartiledge peircings. In Ohio you have to be 18 to get a tattoo or piercing with out an adult, but unless you bring em' then its all good. I'm bought to get my navel done.

I have 11 piercings so I feel safe to offer some advice(navel included)...to jenny n your mother can do whatever she wants as long as your under 18 by law, and yah it sucks. To everyone else please don't pierce yourselves!! If you want a piercing that bad then wait or try to convince your parents for b-days and holidays.

in Texas you dont have to be 16 but most places will not do it till then because they dont think it will get cleaned right i got my tongue and lip pierced at 15

in parts of Cali like Santa Rosa you only have to be 10!! with a parents consent or 18 with out

In canada, you have to be 16 without parental consent no age for with consent :) or at least ontario..

If i live in S.C. and my aunt lives in Georgia and my mom is taking me down there this weekend and my aunt wants to take me to have my bellybutton pierced for my b-day. Can my aunt take me without my mom but my mom has said yea but she won't be there. Is that okay if my mom has said yea that my aunt can take me but my mom won't be there what will the piercing guy say.?Will i be able to still have it done ill be 15 this year.

I'm twelve and my cousin got her belly peirced when she was thirteen. my mom says i can get it done this summer or next summer. my mom says it really hurts then my friend says that it hardly hurts. but my aunt Carol says their chaging the law. can you help me???

Just wondering if anyone knows...what the idaho law is for piercing...im fifteen..my parents will sign for it if its neseccary..and would like to get my lip pierced..does anyone know if i can or not?

In Most states and Countries, the PIERCING Laws state that the child must be OVER 16 to get the piercings WITH parental consent, and 18 without. Hope that helps. :)

We live in the state of Mississippi, and we want to get our lip pierced. We don't know the age limit but the age limit for belly button piercings is 16. The age limit for tongue piercings is also 16. This sux badd!

i had mine nipple pierced when i was 16 without parental consent, the practioner didn't even ask my age. he probably knew he was breaking the law but wanted to turn a profit. i think the situation was different for me because i have access to new york city where illegal practioners spring up all the time lol.

I believe in Washington, there is no true body piercing law, because thats what caused the uproar of people complaining a couple months ago from some kid getting his tongue pierced without parental consent or a guardian.
