Hello, Jan. 25th 2004 i had bought a 7 month old maltese from animal kingdom.. He was treated for resp. infection, coccidia, and giardia.  I knew this before i bought him because they said they treated him.  Saturday May 1st of 2004 my dog fainted several times; taking him to the emergency room he had IMHA.  The doctor said he only had 16% red blood cells left in him.  He could not even get me a 45% chance that my pup would live.  Is this a hereditary/congenital disorder? Could this had happened because of the parasite issue and res. infection?  Please help... I am devistated because i've only had this pup for 3 months and i took him to the vet every time somthing happened. I took good care of him.  I miss him so much and need professional help in fighting animal kingdom in getting a replacement puppy.  thank you for your time and help!! ~andri hackworth
