Where can my sister get her navel pierced? She is only twelve but is dying to get it done!

Like i said to the other girl who wrote, your sister probably couldn't take care of an animal.  A navel piercing is one of the most hardest piercings to take care of because you have to take care of it for six months to two years cleaning it two to three times a day.  Make her wait until she's willing to commit.

shut up lightning! ive got my belly done and u need to look after it for like 3-6 months. just dont touch it heaps... otherwise it'll get infected. just use earring spray (you know that disinfectant stuff) like twice a day and it'll be sweeeeeeeeeet!

Your all wrong i have mine done and i only looked after mine for 6 weeks then changed the bar and its fine so shut ya mouth ya have no idea oi and let your sister get it done my sis is 10 and has hers done and looks after it.....

Hi, i'm 12 and i have had mine done. you have to look after it for 4 months before you can take it out and change it. you have to clean it twice a day with sea salt water or a disinfectant spray. i had mine done at Susan birds, and they numb your belly with a freeze spray then pierce it. It takes about a second and after the freeze has worn off you cant feel anything. After a few days it might start itching but leave it. I recommend you take whatever you've got in there out, and use sea salt water to heal it up. Then go to a professional salon. Mine only cost £30 to have a 9ct gold bar put in. So i recommend going to professional. I hope this has helped,

i want to get my belly button pierced for my 15th birthday.. witch is in 2 weeks... i dont think my mom is going to let me. Do you know of any places is Mass. that will let you get a barbell first? i heard in Mass. they only pierce it with a ring first..?

hi... i got my navel pierced n its quite easy to maintain it as long as u noe how to... thats all. just keep it clean and off from bacteria n dirt and ure fine... i think ur sis can handle that easy stuff cos its a simple as taking a shower!!

i have had my belly button bared lol for 7 years now. if you think you can handle it sure get it done but you got to think of how much care you have to put into it washing it every night never forgetting about it. and plz plz make sure you want it becoz i got it done but the people never tell you the horror behind them. i had my belly button done 4 years and one night i was clubin and one of me m8s riped it out not on perpose but it happend it took half a year to clean up. but then i got it done agian for 3 lovly years lol but honst you got to think and now if you can look after it. If you want any qs you want me to help you wid im right here to help luv b

Im getting my belly button done for an xmas present.It took me 3 1/2 yrz to brib my mom into letting me.Plus you have to have a parent with you and a birth certificate wen you get it done so i doubt you can get it done w/o yer mom know unless u do it yerself...and i wouldnt do that cuz no matter what it will get infected and leave horrible scarring...belive me i did mine myself 3 times and none were succesful.

I'm 14 years old and i'verecently got my belly pierced..its red and sore...and kind of itchy..i look after it perfectly with salt water...disinfectant soap and sprays...how can i quicken the recovery?

Hey. I just recently got my belly button pierced. I'm 13 and we had to call a lot of places before i found one that would do it. I've only had it for like a week or two and I don't really even clean it anymore but its fine and doesn't hurt. I just spray Bactine on it once a day. They didn't numb it before they pierced it. It was really painful so make sure you can tolerate pain!

hey i am sarah...i am 15 and i want a navel piercing for x-mas...i am sort of hesitant about it due to the fact i hear 50% of piercings do become infected...i don't want a scar there for the rest of my life...nor do i want to be in the hospital due to infection what should i do??

i really like them . make sure you dont spill body lotion on it cos it did once and when i was in a maths lesson i looked at it and there was lots of GREEN puss in my button  lol. my friend thought i put a new bar in.

hi, i rlly rlly want mi belly button pierced for xmas. my mum is thinking on it as she allowed my sista 2 have hers done. problem is.... my parents r separated and my dad says he will chuck us out of his house if he finds out we have any  piercings or tatoos. he still hasn't discovered my sistas and she had hers done 3 yr ago. should i take the risk of losing my dads trust? its my body and i think i should be allowed to do what ever i want with my body. i am 13 yrs old. i have learnt how to care for my body through contact lenses as i wear contacts and they take an awful lot of hygene and care. plz reply ppl. i think your sista is capable of looking after her body cos at the age of 10+ you start to learn that caring for your body is important and its an age that you start respecting the person you are. luv yaz all hanz xxx

I think that if she is willin to accept the responsibility of cleanin it for 4-6 months, than she should get it done. I just got mine done today and it feels great. No pain what so ever....

I'm 21 and I've not had mine done. I can bend my thumbs a full 90 degrees backwards though, thats not very normal. My tongue will not only roll up like loadsa people can do but i can rotate it a full circle and back again.

I just got my belly button done today. It hurt a little when I got it done and just a little bit afterwards, but now it's fine. I was in a lot of pain when I had to clean it and turn it because the soap stung. But now it's fine. Oh and if you're 13, you can't get it done without parental consent.

You shouldnt get ANYTHING pierced without your parents knowing! they will find out, for example if you go to the doctor and they see a piercing they will ask your parents about it believe me but if you insist on getting it done now you should do some research, go online and get info. Get the facts about aftercare and healing times then talk to your parents, tell them why you want it done (it shouldnt be because your friends have it done or you want to be cooler and make your friends jealous, it should be for you)It doesnt really hurt. Make sure you check out the piercing salon and ask to see their portfolio or a photo album (most have them). Just be careful and make sure you're ready for the commitment of having to clean it three times a day for at least four months!

what should i do? my mom says she will "think" abut letting me get my belly button pierced for my 8th grade graduation. my friend already has it done, and i really like it. but my b/f says he dosent want me to get it pierced. he says "i dont want to see a ring in ur stoumach, and no one but me will ever see it, so why get it done?" what should i do?

ok well its not always true that u have to have a birth cirtificat (how ever u spell that)i got mine done 4 my 13 b-day and its doing ok!!! like it 4 urself not 4 ur friends ok..well i had my moms x boyfriend take me he rocks this world and im not that sure if they pierced streight but u cant tell.. like all of u have said it does take alot of caring u have to treat it like a baby u cant change its diper unless its done... meaning like ur belly button!!!! people that have it done good luck people that dont have fun!!! always confused_prom_queen

Lightening, shut up, it doesn't matter the age, it matters the maturity level, i'm 12 and have had mine done for 2 months, i say, if your little sister wants it done that bad, then go for it, as long as your parents agree and don't mind her getting it done and make sure the piercer explains to her how to take care of it..:-P

I have had my belly button pierced for 6 weeks now. I am 13 going on 14, soon. I can answer some of your questions.
*It takes 3-6 months for it to heal

*you can change it after 6-8 weeks

*I got a barbell for my first belly button piercing

*I know someone who got her bellybutton pierced when she was 10, so 12 isn't a young age

I think that if your sister wants it badly she should be allowed I got mine done at 12 and 2 years later it looks great. IF she wants it done that badly she should understand the risks which I'm sure she does and accept that she is going to have to clean it 2-3 times a day and i think it's good for her to learn responsibility at a younger age.

OMGoodness..I like so want mine done for my 14th birthday but my dad wont let me! it sucks too cuz i think i can take care of it and it is for me!! i don't see why he can't understand the fact that i would take care of it and would be responsible for it...my mom like thinks it is ok but my dad wont.. any advice about helping me out??

hey, ME. That is EXACTLY me story, My mom said yes, and my dad said no because he doesn't want me to get an infection and have to go to the hospital. My cartilage piercing I got done last march on the 23rd and it's FINE but if i like hit it or keep touching it it gets puffy and red and it hurts and that's why my dad won't let me get my belly done I need help too!!! I really want it done and I can take care of it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I g2b

I got my belly pierced about a week ago i am 14 and my mom doesnt no. It didnt hurt at all and it looks great now. Ive been wanting it done since i was 8 and i felt ready then to look after it so if your sister wants hers done and she is prepared to look after it then she should go for it. I got mine dune with a barbell with a pink jewel and it looks great!

I'm 14 & I just got my belly pierced....the woman didn't numb it. She used a piercing tong and poked the piercing needle through and so on....... but it didn't hurt...however...aftaer a while it will sting if you are too active. But no worries...it do not hurt all like dat.

i'm14 and want my navel pierced REALLLLLY badly!my mom wouldn't even let me get my ear pierced at the top.i want to get it done next march or so( i'llbe 15). how do i convince her to let me get it done? oh and smiley your sis should get it done cause its the maturaty level. please, please help me convince my mom to let me!!!! Ok, I am 19 years old and i just got my belly done....the process is this...

*they lay you down and they make sure the placement is right then they mark it and what not. They clamp the area (this does not hurt) and then they stick the needle it...(it is already sorta numb from the clamp so it really does not hurt.)

*no you can not go swimming while healing

I also have 4 four other piercings so i know a little but about them.

Ok for all of you that are 16 and younger, you guys are way too young. I'm 18 and I was going to get my belly button pierced, it costs $60-70 if you go to a good place. If YOU pay for it and not your parents, go for it.

I got my bellybutton pierced when I was 13 and although it was cute for a long time, I decided to take it out because I didn't want it anymore (And yes, I thought i would want it forever or just until I got too old to show it off [BIG MISTAKE]) When I was 24 I decided to take it out..and now I'm 26 and what remains is a hole on my belly (that i can see right through) so before you go get that done, think it through because although it's different for everyone, there is a great chance of you having a hole on ur belly.

I'm 13 years old and i wanna get my belly button pierced.... my dad is kinda like a gym freak and we made a deal- he said if my arms get to be 11 inches around i can get it.... my mom on the other hand doesnt really care up till last week when i kept asking her she told me no and 2 4get about it.... i also cheer and play basketball.. will it affect me when i play? and will i still be able to play while it is healing or do i have 2 wait cuz if i do i will wait till the off season in december!!!! if u have any good advice email me at hotpinkpeaches04@netscape.net

My parents won't let me get my navel pierced. I'm 13 and a half and I'm very mature. I get good grades and I'm in the top class *sighs* again. I looked up aftercare and healing methods but I'm still not allowed. :( How mean is that?!?!?!?!?!?!?

well ive got my cartilage done twice my ears tripple pierced my nose pierced and my belly so i now loads about them and you definately can go swimmin after gettin ur belly pierced coz my boyfs dad used 2 be a piercer and he sed!and changing the bar can be done at any time it dont make any difference!
ps it costs bout $20 should no be ANY more then $60!!

I posted earlier on about belly piercing whether it hurts or not. I just got it done about an hour ago and it doesnt hurt now but when the pin goes in it stings a little and then the part that hurts the most is when the tube gets pushed in and taken out! I would recommend anyone to get it done, it looks fantastic! So GO FOR IT!!

Hey! After 6 WHOLE MONTHS of non-stop begging, my parents FINALY let me get my belly button pierced! YAY! I got it done about 3 hours ago, and it's kinda sore still. For those of you whoes parents won't let ya get it done, all you have to do is prove to them that you're mature enough to take care of it and not going to get bored after a month or so!

I got mine done like 3 months ago and mine is perfectly fine, yes they offer freezing at some shops. NEVER put ALCOHOL or PEROXIDE on your piercing it will make it worse.
Also DO NOT CHANGE the jeweleryu before the 6 months is over because you can get it infected or mess your pretty up.

    Hey I'm Emily and i want to get my belly button pearced somtime soon and I asked my parents they said no at fist than they said yeh so like u have to take care of it for
6-8 weeks and u have to calean it twice a day me and my to best friends Brooke, and Miranda r planing to get it done together sometime soon. And for those who don't think it's cool at my school after we get it done it's goin to be the bomb so lets just say their is no age to get ur belly button pearced but just Know u have to take care of it...

ok this is what i did. well when i was over at my friends house, she sayed that she was gettin hers done tommorow so she asked me if i wanna get it done with her so then i phoned my mom and sayed that my freind was gettin her navel pierced and that she REALLY wants me to get it done with her so luckly enough, she sayed yes and it looks GREAT!!!!!

hey gurls, i recently got my belly done (about 3 weeks ago). it hurt a bit and a bit after to. i think you do really need to be ready to take care for it. i wash my with sea salt water twice a day. mines red at the moment and has been like that for about a week but it's perfectly normal (your body is just getting used to a foreign object in ur body) my friends say it is infected but i went back to the place i got it
