When is the best time to breed a cocker spaniel for the first time

A Cocker should only be bred when it has earned its Champion title, and has been tested for PRA and Hip Dysplasia. The absolute minimum age is 2 years.

It's usually not the safest to breed on the first heat. Wait until maybe the second or third time around, or until you think your Cocker is ready.

she should not be bread before her third season or first birthday

Never, get her spayed. If you arent experienced enough to know the answer to a simple dog question such as that, then you should not be breeding dogs. There are thousands of dogs Put 2 sleep everyday b/c of irresponsible "breeders" such as yourself. Are you prepared if your lovely dog eats her puppies? What if she needs a C-section which will cost around $1000? And what if your dog DIES while giving birth? Do you really want to risk this just to have a litter of puppies?
