I think, that a cocker spaniel is not more aggressive, than any other dog. You can find some detailed information, much of it worked out by Podberscek/Serpell of the Cambridge and Pensilvania Unversities under the following website:
http://www.cockerspanielrage.org.uk/Rage%20Syndrome%20by%20Wendy%20Parker.pdf.
Hope you will be success and prove with this to the insurance company, that they are wrong.

Cocker Spanials are the best dogs in the world.I have grown up with them my whole life, and I have raised over 6 of them. the only one i met who had a mean bone in her body was very sick. she had nurosis, and would attach things like rocks and trees and other weird stuff and she had a hard time remembering even people she spent everyday with. but, no they are adorable and loving.

English Cocker Spaniels are primarily a household pet and will consider themselves a member of the family. This breed has also recently gotten into the sport of tracking.
English Cocker Spaniels are gentle and playful. They make a good pet to have around children and are good for the first time or inexperienced dog owner. They are easily trainable and actually enjoy the attention (Note: this breed is very sensitive, so training should be persuasive, not sharp.) They are very sociable with family members, children and strangers.

Not at all! Some American Cockers have come from poorly bred backgrounds (i.e. puppymills) and can be snappish. I own 3 rescue Cockers right now, 2 American and 1 English, the 2 Americans were both rescued from puppymills, and have the most wonderful temperaments ever. Look for a breeder who breeds for temperament.

The cocker spanial got a bad name back in the 60's and 70's when a lot of spanials were inbred. Thankfully that appears to have ceased and the cocker is now a healthier breed .The cocker has a very determined nature and needs to be well trained to stop jealousy , but they are not an agressive dog by nature.

We have has our Cocker for 13 Years and he does not have a mean bone in his body.  Even when another dog is trying to attack him, his tail and personality wants to be friends. He has never been aggressive to any thing or anyone.

like any other pet breeding and care are against them. new colors from good breeders and diffrent colors from a pups parent will privide a lovely pet. cockers do have short tempers and long memorys with other dogs they live with

I think that this company is very strange.  My Cocker is very sweet and I have never seen a mean one.  I too hope that this company can be proved wrong.

Not so!  Our first cocker was adopted at eight mos. of age from a family whose patriarch disliked dogs. She was very aggresive toward strangers. We lost her to a congenital desease at fifteen mos.  That loss left such a gap in our lives that we picked up an eight week old
cocker puppy.  At nine mos. she is a sweet, lovable, loves everybody brat.   My wife & I are pushing eighty so she will probably outlive us, no problem; our grown children love brats.
