Well, you see, it really depends on the film, if its educational, they would get paid very little, but if its porn, then they would make alot! =)

I want to know how much film directors make if they're not really "hitting it big"

If you are a good storyteller,thinker,creative, and patient you will make around 10s of Millions of dollars. When you start out you will be making around 500K-1M a year so take filmmaking in COLLEGE or UNIVERSITY
