My teacher tolled us to do this project on RT-S's as the following:

The term project is a serious effort that the student must accomplish to demonstrate that he or she has gained a significant amount of knowledge in the field of study related to the course.
There are three forms of projects allowed:

Programming:
select a suitable comprehensive problem from the course and write a program that solves it.  The program can be a simulation or an algorithm implementation.  Your program must offer some value.

Detailed Case Study:
Take a single solution that exists in the industry and related to the course topic and offer an analysis of how the solution implements  the various concepts and algorithms studied throughout the course.  Your analysis must be detailed and offer in-depth information about the implementation.  Finally, you must offer a conclusion summarizing the features of the solution and their suitability.

Survey:
offer a survey of the various solutions that exist in the industry related to the course material.  Your survey must include comparative analysis of the various features of the solutions.  Then you must offer your own conclusion about which solutions does the best job of implementation and why.

---------------------------
Technical Report:
Your Technical Report is mandatory and must include the following:

An Introduction summarizing the report contents and conclusions

An Analysis Section detailing a description of the topic and providing analysis of your findings.

If your report is a survey or discusses more than one solution, then add a section providing a tabular comparison of the features studied as a summary.

A section describing your understanding.  You must state what you think of the various algorithms implemented.  Your statement must include whether you think the implementation was efficient or not and explain your bases.

Finally you must present a conclusion stating what you think and what conclusions you have reached about the topics.

References:  You must list all sources where you obtained your material, such as books, and Internet sites.

If you are writing a program, then your report must be divided into two sections:

Internal Documentation:  This part describes the program and shows how it is constructed.

External Documentation: This part guides the user on using the program..

Presentation:
The presentation is mandatory and must be divided the same way as your report.  Each team member must participate and give a portion of the presentation.
