I am a new programmer and have a few questions, any responses will be appreciated.

Why can C++ delete a dynamically allocated array, and return its size, but yet it allows going out of bounds? This just seems silly and extremely dangerous.

When using cin and inputting a value into an int, using values outside the range is allowed but it returns a different value then was input. When inputting characters into an int, the program crashes. How does one check and stop this from happening?
