has anyone bought an instrument from www.music123.com if so how much was customs and did you have to pay british V.A.T.

I ordered an amp from Music123.com which was British made, but I don't know about customs charges.  After stringing me along for 2 months, I called them to find out where my amp was.  At first they said it had already shipped a couple of days before, then they emailed me and said the item was discontinued.  That was it.  No apology or explanation for their pathetic customer service and order follow-up.  Music123.com sucks, so I wouldn't be surprised if they made you pay the V.A.T. tax.

Ye know what.., I purchased a Martin D15 guitar through Music123. My satisfaction, at all levels, 110%. Some say, they dislike buying items unseen, however, if you know exactly what you want, and have been through all the specs., plus call and talk to a knowledgeable person for additional questions, you can't miss it! For me,I've found my supplier for anything music!! Ciao!

It also worked for me, last year I bought an Ampeg BA-SP220 bass amp and they did a great job, customer service was excellent, i didn't even called them and they always kept me updated via e-mail on where the amp was, the hour they shipped it, the arrival time to the next port, they are great guys... and definetly I'll be buying a new bass guitar!

I tried buying an Ibanez acoustic electric from them, because their prices were good and they offered free shipping. Unfortunately, I got a lot of runaround after my card was charged. The item I ordered was out of stock, despite what the website said, so they replaced it with another which, two days later, was also mysteriously out of stock. I've since cancelled my order. I'd rather pay a little more and go somewhere where I might actually receive my product.

I had placed an order.  they cancelled it without notifying me.  Then I ordered another product, it arrived damaged.  They sent a replacement, and it was damaged too.

This store sucks regarding quality of their products.  I would not buy anything from them again.

after my original product was found actually to be out of stock, i ordered another, paid for 3 day shipping, got one package, then after much phone time, was told their printers were down and my item didn't ship. after complaining, they refunded 1/2 my shipping and promised i would get it soon. well, 3 days later, more phone time and it still didn't ship. finally got a rep to overnite it to me and refund all my shipping costs. so, i finally get my package, but after a week and a half for 3 day service. thanks alot 123, from now on i'll shop somewhere else.

Music 123 is a racket. I have tried to buy from them twice. Each time they showed the item in stock. After a couple days of my account showing the order being processed, I called to find they didnt have the item and didnt know when they would receive it. I recommend against buying from them.

Just received my new Selmer alto sax from Music123.  I purchased a "not factory sealed" model, and saved an additional $600 over their low discount price.  It arrived one day earlier than expected, in perfect, flawless condition.  The only difference from new was that someone else had opened the original box! Customer service was great by phone and email -- I got immediate responses. It is a beautiful horn. A 100% positive buying experience.

I ordered a Furman Power Factor Pro from Music123 on Wednesday, July 13, 2005. When I called the Music123 sales representative the next day, he assured me that my order would be shipped within 48 hours. The sales rep also told me that I would receive an e-mail notifying me when the item had actually shipped from the warehouse. I did not receive an e-mail notification of any shippment at all. So, being the patient soul that I am, I waited a few days and called Music123 last Tuesday (July 19th) to check on the status of my order. The customer service representative told me that my order would definitely be shipped by Friday, July 22. This did not occur. When I called Music123 this morning (July 25), I was put on-hold for approximately 15 minutes, THEN THE LINE WENT DEAD!! Music123 literally hung-up on me!! This is no way to run a business, so I called them again and canceled my order immediately. This time I asked to speak to the operations manager, and he tried to tell me that my order had just shipped, which is total bulls**t. I have just gotten off the phone with my credit card company to make sure they stop payment on this order.

MUSIC123,... THREE STRIKES, YOU'RE OUT !!!

Music123 support sucks!  I have placed several orders from them over the years and they started out good, but they've managed to f**k something up the last 3 orders I'vemade.  I will not order from them again.

music 123 is falling apart.  they used to be great -- i'mnow over one month wait on an order -- customer service line busy.  They say its due to a "new warehouse" -- but that doesnt explain why they don't answer the phone or email.

I ordered equipment july18 which was charged to my card. AUG 27 STILL HAVE N0T REVEIVED MY ORDER. THEY DO NOT RETURN MY EMAIL AND ALSO I CAN NOT GET THROUGH BY PHONE .NEVER DEAL THERE AGAIN !!!!!

Unfortunately I have ordered from this rip-off outfit.  NO customer service, surly phone reps, poor delivery, and on and on and on . . . This is one of those New Jersey "front" outfits that put up a slick web site, advertise great prices and selection, then get your account information and you're lucky to receive your order or get them to even talk to you. STAY AWAY !

I bought an Ashdown amp. No problems except it didn't have a power cord. I called them and one was shipped right away no charge.I like there service and timely response to my issue. By the way the amp rocks and sounds even better with my Stingray 5. You can buy with confidence from them.

I ordered a guitar for a birthday gift in early august. Their site listed it as "in stock." I received an e-mail on 8/20 reporting that it and the stand I ordered had shipped. I did receive the stand, but no guitar. When I tracked it on FedEx , they confirmed that they had shipped only the stand. I sent several e-mails to their customer service site, and also to their sales site and have not received a reply. When I finally (after three tries and waiting on hold for 20 minutes) got through to their customer service line, the woman with whom I spoke confirmed that it had not shipped because they were moving warehouses, and it "could ship anytime within a week or two." She told me that there was no way to expedite the shipment, nor would she put a supervisor on the line. Today is the birthday, and I still have no guitar, nor information on its delivery. They suck.

music 123 should go out of business as their lack of business savy is way out of line  they need to fire their entire staff and start all over  maybe that will save them

I have made several orders with music 123. The first order (Schecter Stiletto Studio 8 Bass and Gator Stealth Case) came lickety split. After that all other orders were shipped bits and pieces at a time and long delays. I believe they completely shut down their customer service department, I was unable to reach them at all. One of the sales people at sales number said they originally shipped from 3 different warehouses and were consolidating to a new single warehouse. He said he had worked for Music 123 pre-online etailer days when they were just a storefront mom and pop operation and that he told management the way they were going to go about their warehouse moves was going to be a problem but they didn't listen, so apparently the warehouse change around was the culprit. He also said at the time (back in late July-early August I think that he hadn't even been paid in several weeks. Would I order from them again? If they get their change over ironed out, maybe but only if they had an unbelievable deal on an item I wanted that no-one else came close to. Other than that, probably never again. I have also ordered from Musician's Friend, American Musical Supply and Sameday music, all very good service and quick shipment. There are too many other music equipment etailers to take a chance with Music 123 again.

The worst business I have every dealt with. Never can get a straight answer and takes forever to get the porduct. Will Never shop there again

i'vehad both good and bad results from music 123.  i received drums and 4 of 5 cases from them in good order.  my bass drum case, a protection racket case, was ordered 4 months ago and it has yet to have been shipped from protection racket.  music 123 do es not respond to my requests, nor will they advocate for me with protection racket.  i\

Music 123 is a rip off! I am desputing a purchase, with my credit card company, I made 3 months ago and did not recieve. I called to cancel the order - a month ago and they did not cancel it, so I let lose the hounds.

I've done a lot of online shopping and never been jearked around like with these freaks!

Music123 has been a terrible experience for me...customer service is the wrong name for what that department does...it ought to be called "Put People on Hold Dept."

Ordered a new Bullet Strat.  Received item in an Opened box.  Returned for replacement THREE times and received Opened (FACTORY REJECT?) product ALL THREE TIMES.  Laurie in customer disservice said that although there were 82NEW Bullet Strats in stock (BS?), she could not ship me the fourth time because she couldn't be confident that I'd get a new one.  Truth will out.  These guys offload seconds?  Go to American Music.

put in an order on 23rd july and have not been notified of shipping as of yet and today is 29th. tried to cancle order but they said the strat was shipping and could not be stopped. no tracking or nothing so far.its saturday now and they are closed and the web site won't let me in to check if it shipped.
I wish I had seen this site before placing an order. they will never get my bussiness again. muscians friend has never done this to me in ten years of dealing with them.

I placed an order at the beginning of May 2006 for a tuba case and as of today (9/13/2006)still do not have it.  I been given a lot of excuses. When I called today they say it's suppose to be at their place today. I've been told that same thing 2 other times before.  If it's not here by next week -"That's it for me".
My advise order from someone else! Don't waste your time.

Music 123 has horrible customer service though.  If you're lucky and your item arrives in good condition then you win.  But if it doesn't they will ask you to return items that have missing parts, their response time will be1/36-48 hours. I would suggest Samash.com as a much better online music resourse.

I bought a martin oooM it cost the same amount of dollars as it would pounds in this country I had to pay 30 dollars postage and another 80 pounds import duty. still cheaper than buying it in England.
The guitar was in tune when i opened the box and of all my guitars this is the one I play all the time It just gets better I might buy a taylor GS From them soon.
