For male dogs humping is for reproduction and asserting dominance over another dog.  Basically your dog sees himself as the bigger cheese in the household than yourself and your brother.  When he does this he is trying to be dominate over you and your brother.  Humping can become a real annoying habit that can be emabarrassing- so you want to fix it pronto.  Ways to fix the problem:  Get the dog fixed.  This will lower his desire to assert dominance.  Also, continue to assert your authority over the dog.  When he misbehaves you must be willing to be firm with him.  Do not let the misbehavior continue.  Use a firm, loud voice - it may take a few times for him to get the message.  If he growls, snaps or barks- you to it again.  Basically, you have to let him know that you are boss.

If you don't get him fixed- you'll have a much harder time breaking the habit.
