dear leftie, this depent on th ebreeder but you can say a very good quality breeder will sell his puppies between 1000 and 1500$
It is better for you to have a good happy and healthy Lhasa, prices at 400-700 tells you that you have to deal with traders and mostly lower quality, check out mine and akc websites at http://www.el-minjas.com and http://www.akc.org good luck

I would never pay $1,000 to $1,500 for a Lhasa!  Mine was only $250 and he was the greatest dog!  Some Lhasas can have an attitude but Muffin was just real sweet and very pretty. Just because you pay a huge amount does not mean the dog will have a nice attitude and be completely free of any type of problem. Our little guy died at 12 years of age from an aneurism. We cried for a month. A friend (breeder)gave us a new puppy-a Coton De Tulear to ease our pain.  He is a rare breed dog and sells for $1,200 up.

what the hell is a lhasa apso. it sounds like a kinky sex toy. and i dont think any sex toys cost like 1000 dollars. unless you want it to be REALLY kinky.

You could go to ALAC.ORG - that is the American Lhasa Apso Club and there are breeder referrals listed - that would be my first stop - and check out the breeder thoroughly, ask for references of other puppy buyers, etc.

i think that the good dogs would generally cost from 800 to 1000 dollars but if you are looking in the newspaper you could probably find some good puppies for about 400 to 700 dollars. that is how we found ours and she only cost $600.00!

It seems a difficult question to answer. in my research, a reputable breeder sells a purebred great dane puppy for $1000. However, it's been much harder for me to find a general cost for a lhasa.
