Can I start my own business (sole proprietorship) when I'm a H1 visa holder. Also, can you wife help out with my business even she doesn't have a SSN?

yes any h1 worker can do business

I don't have an answer, I only have a question similar.
I hold a H1, and I have a business.
What should I do to keep my status legal if I quit my job which actually sponse my H1.
