1979 was written in 1979 when billy was 12 years old. he wrote the lyrics about a troubled childhood, but he didn't write the music until later. No, the lyrics ARE NOT SATANIC! billy is now a Christian, and his older lyrics were written about life, and that in its self can seem satanic
