AVG for windows will get rid of it. It will scan the system and then heal the virus.

I managed to get rid of it. but it's difficult and it keeps re-apearing.
You have to localize the file and go into system maintenance mode (pres F8) during boot, and then delete it there, while you are in system maintenance mode you must empty your recycle bin. For some reason the damned thing moves into your system restore so it is a good idea to turn restore off before starting. or make the C:\system volume information folder visible and accessable. I used the command cacl "C:\system volume information" /e /g username:f to access the folder.

The best way to delete a virus from your system restore is to go to system restore and turn it off. This will delete the virus from your system restore along with all stored files. Restart your computer and turn system restore back on. This will begin system restore fresh and new.

Yea! I found that too, even though I'm supposed to be protected by McAfee Firewall and Norton anti-virus. I downloaded the free version of Grisoft AVG and this got rid of it. Didn't even know I had it till I ran their software; it just didn't show up on Norton and I update and scan every week.

A very good and reliable anti virus software is from grisoft.com They have a FREE version and is very effective against all types of virus.
The program is updated almost everyday.I have been using this program for over 4 years now and never had problems with my computer since.
The virus that he cannot remove will be moved to a vault on your computer where it cannot harm anything.I hope this will help,
Michga

I had problems with trojans not removed by the commercial antivirus programs - those were detecting the trojans and unable to remove them. AVG helped, it is free to download. Type "avg antivirus" in google. Other option is to close processes (ctrl at delete, then you switch off every process which is not basic windows stuff and you can delete the trojan , provided that you know which file it is. Usually when the file is in use you can't delete it and the trojan is always in use).
