life was Hard because a lot of people didn't have jobs. They didn't have jobs and enough food because the Treaty of Versailles forced Germany to pay 6,600,000,000 for the war expenses and they had to take full responsibility for the war. They were also given new boarders for Germany so a lot of people were finding themselves not in Germany.
