"Wing Shards" is a favorite card in my white deck...but I don't think I'm using it to its full potential because I don't fully understand Storm.  When you make a copy, do you pay the mana cost again to play the copy? Could someone explain how storm works and its relation to "Wing Shards"...

When you cast a card with storm you count up the number of spells that have been PLAYED (they dont need to have been resolved, just played). You dont count the spell you just played, and you dont count any additional spells that are played after this trigger resolves. Then you simply copy the spell with storm that many times, and put those spells on the stack. So if your opponent casts a skullclamp, and you cast a mana leak and counter it, 2 spells have been cast this turn. Your opponent then attacks with 4 goblins. You cast wing shards, and put 2 more copys on the stack, 1 for clamp, 1 for mana leak. Your opponent will have to sac 3 creatures after all the shards are done resolving.
