...hova mean? (like in jayz's songs)

Well first Jehovah and Jesus are not the same person. The scriptures refer to Jesus as being in heaven with his father before the world even exhisted(John 17:5). Jesus is known as being the savior of mankind because he ransomed his life so that we can gain everlasting life by means of his precious blood. So that leaves us with a serious question. If Jay-Hov means savior of rap, then why didn't he call himself Jay-esus? I think he just doesn't realize the severity of using God's name for it is written "You must not take up the name of Jehovah your God in a worthless way, for Jehovah will not leave the one unpunished who takes up his name in a worthless way."-Ex. 20:7 Also if your bible doesn't use Jehovah's name there, then look at the beginning of your bible where it explains how his name was taken out and replaced with God and Lord. Then you might ask why it was taken out????

Its short for his nick name Jay-hova.. which is a play on Jahova(jesus).. he uses this to describe that he is the savior of rap...

It is short for Jay-Hova...but it is a play of Jehovah which stands for God not Jesus

Jay-Z refers to himself "Hova tha God," because he not only thinks he is the savior of rap like G-man said, but he also fells no one can touch him on a lyrical basis.

hova is a play off of the name of God, Jehovah. He didn't give himself that. His friends started calling himself Jehovah and he stopped them. So they shortened it to hova so not to offend him.

yea...a play on his nick name jay-hova (jehovah) - but also a distinction between the king of NY (biggie) and Prince (rakim). A sort of homage.

I assume by Jahova you mean Jehovah, and by Jesus you mean God (true there's the whole three in one line, but you're referring to the wrong one of the three).
