we have a husky/collie/sheppard mix-we are putting up a fence and we were wondering how high a mixed breed like this could jump.

Well, huskies can jump a good height from a stand-still and GSD are very tall with long legs. Not only that, but Huskies are very hard to keep in pens. Mine will jump, dig, climb, or a combination of all to get out of a pen. I would put up a 5' fence and put electric wire around the top. All your dog has to do is touch that wire once, maybe twice, and it will never try to climb over again. Make sure the fence has tiny squares in it so the dogs can't climb through it or use it as a ladder to climb out. (trust me they do that)And the last precaution would be to dig a trench where the fence will go and put the fence down into the ground about a foot. That way they can't dig out.(if you do that make sure you get a 6' fence) If you do all that, you should have yourself a dog proof yard. Good luck! Tanisha
