you don't have to dress any specific way.... you can dress how you like... straight edge is about being your self and being pure to your self... their isn't one specific way to dress.

telling people to dress in a certain manner is completely stupid! thats like telling someone who writes with their left hand and has for their whole life to change hands! its something that they can't do, its what they are used to and who they are!!! i myself dress in the apparent attire that you all classify as "punk or emo" and i do it because i am comfortable in what i wear! DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER!!!

there is no real meaning to the word NORMAL. people are who they are. you can wear all black and be straight edge. or wear only abercrombie stuff and still be straight edge. how you dress is not even half of who you are!

We gotta dress different, how could we express ourselves if we all dressed in the same clothes? Some of us (like myself), need to be creative, so we dress like our inner souls, man. Straight-edger for life! Sex, alcohol, and drugs can kiss my ass!

normal to me is overrated in life. why can you not just dress normal you say? what people choose to see as normal is through what they have known to be as normal. there is no such thing as normal attire. there is not just one normal look for anyone. you go out in this world to try to impress people by doing what they tell you, and you are so worried about what people are going to say about you or judge you based on what they precieve to be normal. you shouldn't dress a certian way just to make others happy, dress your way to make yourself happy, because you are living this life, not them.

Emo isnt about the way u dress and some ppl dress that way for a fashion which is stupid ppl dress in a dark sort of way to sute there feelings mostly dperession

On my opinion i think that people should dress the way they want to. And others should not judge because they know they dont like being labeled. For example me,just because i wear a lot of black clothing they label me as emo. But really,im a very happy person. Just remember,be yourself!
