My A/C in my 92 Dodge Dynasty is not cooling. It has about 80,000 miles and runs very well mechanically  I imagine it lost its freon during the winter.  I have been told it will cost up towards $2000 which seems very high.  Can you give me info about the old coolant, the newer form etc.?

sounds like the freon is low.  if you don't know anything about the a/c system you can take it to autozone and they can tell if your system needs charged or if something else is wrong.  they can even charge it for you if needed.  they can point you in the right direction
