My JPEG images open up in Internet Explorer.  When I highlight some to open (14 for example) it will only go so far as open  either 5 or 7 of the images and then it will pause.  After the pause, it will skip through to the 14th image.  Why is this?

It seems that jpeg decoding engine in Internet Explorer has a bug. It manifests itself as loading of some images and than hanging not loading any images at all in that browser session.

Solution is upgrade to Internet Explorer 6.0sp1 with patch 824145 or converting jpeg images with just default profile.
