I have a bump around a cartlige piercing and was told to seasalt soak 3 times a day for 5mins.   The bump just seems to refuse to go away. Is there anything else I could do to help this bump clear up?   I've had this problem for over 3 months!

the bump wont go away...it happened to me i just had to take the earring out then when it finally heals go to a tattoo or piercing place and get your ear gauged at 18 (a very small hole which is just a little bigger then the regular earring size) that way all the cartliage that caused the infection in the first place is gone.

I have a bump too and I'm hoping this works for me. I hear that the sea salt you say you've tried dries it up, and if you use it with tea tree oil or vitamin E oil it will heal!?!?!? I'm gonna try it, so we'll see.

let it heal, and go to a tattoo parlor, because they will use a hollow needle, which will prevent that bump

I had a bump like that for about a month.  No matter how clean I kept the piercing, it would not go away.  Then I applied tea tree oil once a day for a week and the bump completely disappeared.  The oil actually dries out the piercing a little but that's a small price to pay to get rid of the bump.
