I found an old Bank Note. It is for $1000. The right 1/3rd is torn off an the Date says
Dec 15th. The Note is from the Bank of the United States. Issued in New York with Philadelphia, before the Date.It has Three Portraits to the Left and The New Treasury
Building in the Center. The Number is 8894.
Looks like quill writing. Very old, I think around 1790's to 1820's. Not Sure because Year is torn off. Signature on Left is Akardney? The other signature is impossible to read ,because of swirrels.

Don't feel bad Glenn; I bought one too. I checked it out on E-bay & found 5 more just like it. Must be lots of them out there. The date, (torn off of yours) is Dec 15. 1840.
