My dog has a yellow discharge around the eyes.  I find that when she is outside, or the windows are open it goes away.  Should I be concerned?

I had this same problem with my dog just this morning but have never noticed it before.  One eye had a thick yellow discharge. I assumed it was some kind of dog conjunctivitis (like when humans get 'pink eye').  The link below is what I have found so far, best guess is that it is dog 'dry eye' but obviously I am not a vet and can't offer anything other than an amateur dog owner opinion.  Noodle has a vet appointment on Saturday morning and I am going to tell the vet about it even if it doesn't continue to be obvious, because you don't mess around with their eye health, could become something more serious and eventually lead to blindness, so have someone check it out!

My 15 week old puppy had the same thing...he has had it for some time and it was the same symtoms as yours. The vet said it was a slight infection so I would book and appointment and just get some drops...his cleared up in a week!
