I have a 1998 Chrysler Town & Country LXI minivan.  Every one to two weeks after I turn the engine off the radiator fan continues to run.  I have heard of vehicles having this cooling option but I do not believe this vehicle has it.  Either way, the fan runs and does not turn off.  I timed it once for over thirty minutes.  I disconnected the negative battery terminal and waited approx. 15 seconds.  I thought I heard a click sound a few seconds into this 15 second period.  I reconnected the negative battery terminal and the fan was off.  I can drive the minivan for another 1-2 weeks and the problem does not appear.  It will appear sometime in that period and I must again perform the battery disconnect.  Any ideas what is causing this and what to do about it?

Sounds like a relay is sticking to me.  I have heard that it is under the battery and has a big heat sink on it.  It probably is only when the engine is extra warm too. Look up where it is in the book.  If it is under the battery, take it out and look and see if it is disconnected where it screws down, if it is, thats the problem, it needs to be attached to cool off.

The Town & Country is my favorite, it has ANCO wiperblades and also, I named it after my sister. So I like this cool 1998 model and also it is the wheel, cruise control, temperature gage, and its cool features, I would ask Mr. Pardo for this vehicle

HELP! My 2005 Chrysler mini van has a problem the dealer cannot replicate or repair.  From June to August, I had it in the shop 5 times because after a 10 minute visit to a store the the van was completely dead.  We try jumping it,and it will not even click  I call a tow and after 50 minutes it starts right up, often before the tow gets to me.  It always happens on a hot day, but the problem is intermittent.  There are many hot days in North Carolina!  The dealer has tested the charging & security systems, starter, alternator and new batteries, terminals, grounds, relays. They say they tried every test they know.  Now the weather is warming up again and the same thing happened yesterday, stranding me ad the children again.  If it is some sort of heat-sensitive short, how can it be detected and fixed???? I am still under warranty for a year...please help.
