I have a GSD puppy that I show, and I feed him dry food. What I feed him is Nutro Nuggets and I add meat chunks in it. He loves his food a lot. He's 11 months and I feed him once a day, at night time. You should eat first before your pup does so he/she knows who's the boss and who eats first. Thats what I do. You shouldn't give your pup canned food because it has too much moist in it and to much water, and not enough omega 3 to make the coat look shinny. Only give him/her at least 20min to eat and then take it away. He/she needs to learn that you'll feed him/her on time and he also won't get fat. He/she won't get picky of what food he/she wants to eat. My pup Cody has never been picky about food unlike my friend Kathy's Miniature poodle who won't eat anything unless it has meat or cheese in it. So we put her on Nutro Nuggets. She loves it. We get the adult food bag.

Their one of a kind strange set of dietary requirements have been passed on from generation to generation just like the breed's one of a kind coat, body size and temperament. We have found that we can not change the inherited makeup of the animals we are feeding just by exposing them to a different diet for a small amount of time. Therefore, I suggest that German Shepard owners try to feed their present companion pets with foods that contain what this breed requires. The food should contain: (#1) nutrient sources that are similar to those found in the native environment of the breed's ancestors (sources which are not foreign to the digestive and glandular systems of today's German Shepard and which are easy for them to assimilate) and (#2) the proper balance of protein, carbohydrates, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals that match the breed specific nutritional requirements - those which have been passed down by their ancestors

I think you and your dog should eat at the same time. There for he/she want feel lonely. I don't feed my dog Simba can food b/c he doesn't eat any thing but gravy train and table food. You should always let your dog know who's boss. If you feed them something and they want eat it, let the food stay there until he/she eats it. Thats my option.

well my dog has passed on but he was the best dog in the world and he loved my dinner when we had stake with vegies he ate the lot and then he would go and sit in the lounge room and sat on the couch and wached t.v it was fun, i love that dog and i miss him. dogs bassicly eat anything if your dog gets a lot of exercise u can food it about 2 or 3 times a day but if it only gets a little feed if once or he/she will get fat. thz for reading from prittie princes919

I dont have a dog, but this web site was very usefull for my coursework for college! as i had to find out about a certain dog and this website gave me alot of infomation on a GSD puppy. Thanks Leanne xxx

meat, they love it. you should feed them a little meat 4 a treat every once in a while. the german shepherd eats dry food and premium food is the best!

I think they like it mushed because IT is easier on their teeth like us would u eat all your food if it was hard no because most of our food is warm up or cooked which is for dogs getting their food mushed.

hello, i give my dogs bonio. both of them love it and ever since i changed both of them to bonio i've noticed a massive difference, they have become more well behaved and are more tamed. i love my dogs to bits, they are the best thing in my life.

Most dogs eat tined food such (meat chunks) you can give dogs treats but never chocolate unless it is proper chocolate for dogs. Need more help and advice? Check out your local vets.
