What does the Folded Napkin symbolize after the Jewish meal?

a folded napkin, left in your chair symbolizes,  "Thank you for your hospitality.  I would like to be invited to your home again."

The folded napkin symbolized that the Master of the house was not yet done with his meal, and so the servants of the house would know that the Master would be returning.  Therefore, if it was folded they understood this, however, if it was wadded up, they'd know that the meal was complete and that the Master would be leaving.
