hellow

i am waleed ahmed. i am an engineer and studying master degree from ain shams colleage-cairo egypt.
my master thesis about video codec.
when i made the software for video codec i note that my program is very slow at coding and decoding search from the look up table to get the code or at the inverse process this made my program is not sufficient so please can u help me to make the efficient code for search.

Am also interested in knowing this. My issue is I need to forward MPEG video in the speed of 20x speed. Is there any algorithm for doing this. Because the decision in forwarding MPEG needs understanding on I, B and P frames. What are the standard APIs and structures that are required in doing this?
