You need to run a virus scan on your computer and that should help clear it up for you.  Also have you cleaned out your temporary files and cache?

you need to search on google for lavasoft spyware sweeper, i think u might have got a lot of spyware if not it is a Trojan and you need to go to mcafee and use their free scan, then turn on windows firewall and get a proper firewall and virus scanner from either mcafee of Norton and pay for the new versions

It could be a virus, but it could also be a trojan or spyware. But programs to rid yourself of these critters often only take care of one or the other, so you'll want to get several programs.

Download this:
http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10122137.html

It's for cleaning out spyware.

Then go here:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

That's for scanning for viruses.

You can also search online for more virus/spyware scanners. If nothing works, you may have to format your drive and reload everything.

First install a good anti-virus program. Personally I like Norton. Run a full system scan. The log file will tell you what was on your computer. You may need a spyware removal program as well. Try Webroot Spysweeper. It can be a resource hog if your computer is pentium II or older I wouldn't use it. Have these programs watch for problems while you surf the internet and you won't have as many problems

ok, you may want to try to defragment using the accesories, then system tools, you may want to get a security system like Norton or macafee. if the firewall doesn't let you go on, too bad sorry , it should let you go on. to get rid of viruses make sure to click fix now on the Norton.

thanks for the q's
