Does US currency marked with a star after the serial number...

Does US currency marked with a star after the serial number have any extra value and what if the serial number has a numeral that is incomplete with just a tad of it missing?

Hi..depends on the series year and grade/condition.Send me a scan front and back I can come up with and estimate.Serial numbers missing make make that note have collector value if is is a real error and not something made after the note left the Bureau of Engraving and Printing.

Star note means that there was a problem in the making of a note and the star note was a replacement note.

Typically the star note is worth 10% over the denomination of the note.  If you do have a defect in a star note it will be worth more because this is a replacement note...

My dad has a bunch of paper money with stars after the serial number, all denominations.  How do I find out the values of each?
