Is there any International People Search Service in Germany where I can make a quest of the missing person? How to find people who were taken as prisoners by German troops during the World War II from the countries of the former Soviet Union? I'll be thankful for any related information - URL to web-sites, detailed mail addresses, e-mails, anything.

I have been looking for my mother for sometime now. I think she is 59 or so. I have not seen her in twenty years. Is there a search engine to help find people in germany other than the yellow pages search tool. Which I must is not useful in this respect. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Her name is Heidi Helga Rose or it was in 1982.

Nowadays some private agencies are engaged into finding lost relatives and friends. This is a fee-paying service though and costs around 150 $. But after circa 2-3 months they can retrieve the exact adress of the person you need. Some of the sites you could try are: www.people-search-germany.com www.wiedersehenmachtfreude.de Good luck Buzzy
