     I have a one dollar silver certificate dated 1935J  with Hawaii  printed on face  side
and Hawaii printed across back in large open faced letters. Can anyone tell me the
history of this "Bill" and its possible value.   Thanks. bobbie.

Hi..these notes were issued during World War 2 and sent to Hawaii with the idea if the islands were captured this currency would be declared worthless by the US government.It was issued from 1942-1944.Also there were no 1935J series issued.For the $1 Silver Certificates they were all 1935A series.The value will depend on certain serial numbers and grade.Send me a scan front and back.I can come up with an approximate value.Send it to marlofan@aol.com.

i have a question. i have a one dollar bill eccept its not a regular one dollar bill. it looks like one except it says this ais a legal tender to get one dollar in silver at the united states treasury. or somthin like that . what is this dollar for?
