What is the oldest you can get a Great Dane's ears cropped?

I know that many people do not believe in doing this anymore - and I don't know if I will - but I wonder what is the oldest.

Thank you!

The time to do a Dane's ear's and be humane about it is between 7-12 weeks, you wont generally find a decent vet to do them after that.

Don't get them cut! I have a Dane, and she looks 10x more beautiful with her natural ears than a dog with cut ears will ever look. Cutting their ears is just wrong.

I,m getting a great Dane puppy this weekend and have been looking around for a vet to crop his ears. I found it's the average of 10 to 12 weeks runs 150 up. I'm getting his done I have a 11 year old Dane now and had hers done when she was a puppy is most beautiful and I don't regret it at all it's a matter or preference I don't want an overgrown lab.

I have both cropped and uncropped... they are both beautiful and if you are willing to accept the risk of losing a puppy during surgery, taping for the next 4 to 8 months and ignore the nasty comments of oh my goodness did he get hurt or i cant believe you put him through that..then go ahead and crop..I personnally like cropped danes, but it has been outlawed in the UK and not just because of the pain it causes your puppy.

It depends, you must have a reputable vet with some experience.  But in the long run, Cropped and Posted ears will be way better for your dog.  It is the Dane look.  If her ears arent cropped, she kind of looks like a hound.

NO don't crop the ear at all it's just not right and they look much better  natural. I have a white boxer and he looks much better without them cropped other people think so also

i didn't know how i saw some pictures of Great Danes with their ears floppy and some with their ears spiked up! Now I've just realized that you crop them. Personally I think that it's wrong to do that to a dog; imagine if someone took you to the doctors to get part of your ears cut off! Plus it makes that specific breed look more fierce with cropped ears so if you leave their ears floppy they can look cute forever! I'm only 14 and I've been begging my mum to get a Great Dane because I've always loved them, but she won't let me. Can anyone give me advice on how to persuade her??!! Thanks!
