germany invaded poland, which since hitler was proclaimed ruler, was rightfully his because he was planning to take over the entire world with his cronies AKA the nazis. this didnt blow over too well with the rest of the free world, so they fought back. DUn DUN DUN... world war two has arrived! :(

the pretext was that the Gdansk territory, in Polish possession since the Versailles Treaty, was separating Eastern Prussia and Germany. therefore, when Hitler demanded that Poland renounce Gdansk (also called Danzig) and Poland refused, this provided Germany the perfect reason to invade Poland.

Germany wanted the Danzig territory back which was taken from them after World War I. The Versaille Treaty gave this part of Germany away to Poland.

I invaded Poland because they abuse the Prussian people.  The murder rape and rob them. I had warned the Polish government so many times about these matter but that all fell on deft ears. Prussians are Germans. And the land the live and work in was once a part of Germany, that was ceded after WW1.  These hard working people were being abuse because they were not Polish citizens and their standard of living was much higher than most lazy locals, that made the Poles very jealous.

Germany'sruler Hitler was obsessed with watching his back and with the idea of power. He needed more people in his army and the USSR was his friend at the time so they could watch that boarder; so in taking over Poland he was closer to the USSR and his ultimate plan of taking over the USSR later. There were many reasons. Why he decided to take over Poland.

The real reason is that all the other factors are true but Hitler needed a real reason and the only acceptable reason to invade Poland was f the pole's invaded Germany so what Hitler did was get a group of 20 or so inmates from sachsenhausen concentration camp drives them near the border with poland and got them to dress up as polish troops they were then told to march towards a light (which was a guard tower)at which the guard on duty shot all of the prisoners this was the photographed and germany was then given an excuse to invade does that seem plausible?

WW2 was started over the Danzig corridor which was part of Germany until the Versailles treaty gave it to Poland
(1918 Versailles Treaty).Hitler was pleading with Poland to give Germany a 1 mile access to their providence of East Prussia . Both parties were in agreement when in 1939 Poland suddenly broke off all negotiations. Britain and France guarantee Poland's defense (Anglo French Assurance Pact )
They secretly made a pact with Poland to come to their defense if Germany attacked. with the confidence of english and french support Polish Bolsheviks killed 58,000 German Nationals in the Danzig corridor.
In the months leading up to the German invasion the Polish Army and independent Bolshevik units had been slaughtering German nationals in the Danzig corridor. Mass killings of thousands of civilian ethnic Germans (Volksdeutsche) by both civilian and Russian NDVK Jews, who were confident that Poland would quickly defeat Germany.On one day alone - Polish Jews, under the protection of the Polish Army, attack a small German town and viciously kill 5500 Germans, so Germany declared war and got their people out as well as their territory back.

coz that land was originally germanys and was taken away by the T.O.V.(treaty of versailles). The germans were always bitter about this and then hitler decided to do something about it.He also wanted to expand germany.

He acctually invaded Czechslovikia, Austria, and the Rhineland first. He wanted to take over the world. Moohahaha. Before the invasion of Poland he made an agreement with Stalin in Russia saying that he would split Poland with Russia if Stalin let him go ahead and invade. Stalin agreed. Stalin was paranoid. Because Poland killed 58000 Germans in the 1939 Danzig massacre prior to the German invasion? Or maybe because the Germans were tired of getting their lands taken from them by the Polish due to their defeat in WW1?

Germany invaded poland, mainly because he thought he could get away with it. He had invaded other countries before hand, like czechoslovakia and the sudetenland, the League of Nations did nothing to stop him then, and so therefore he belived they wouldn't break the habbit. He got the USSR to help him invade, his excuse was that he wanted to extend his empire, im guessing this was a lie.  He was power crazy.
