Can Aboriginal Practices be described as being shamanic and why?

I'm assuming you mean Aboriginal Australian, as the word "aboriginal" can refer to the native people of any lands.  With that assumption, the answer is yes.  Not only do many Aboriginal Australian practices fit the classical definition of shamanism, they are in fact part of the development of that definition.

I recommend the book _Aboriginal Men of High Degree_ by A.P. Elkin for a thorough look at Aboriginal Australian shamanism.

Australian Aboriginal? Aboriginal referes to any native peoples. 'Ab Original' means 'the original' or something.

They would be shamanic if they include meditation or use of psychoactive substances like magic mushrooms. If they learn something useful, its shamanic.
