I like this guy named Zach and I think he likes me back, but how do you know!? My friends said that he told them he liked me, but my friends might be trying to get me to make the first move, which I am TERRIFED to do. here is how i met him
Well, I had known him since 6th grade, and the 7th grade school year had just one day left. I had liked him for quite a while. Every year, the seventh grade has to build cardboard boats. The only thing that isn't cardboard or duct tape is the paddle handle, which is 2 tiny boards, and the actual paddle is still cardboard. Well, the hard part is you have to float in it. In snow creek. AND SNOW CREEK IS CALLED THAT FOR A REASON! IT'S COLDER THAN SNOW! IF YOU TOUCH THE WATER, YOU START TO GO NUMB! YOU TURN BLUE!
Anyway.... I made it across the water, and didn't get very wet, either. But that was the thing. I WANTED to get wet. So I went in the water any time I could. Then, after I was soaking wet, Zach came over and said,
"Look at you. You are soaked and I am totally dry! Hahahahaha!" So I looked up at him and said,
"Not for long!" And I hugged him. And, since I had a reason to, and I totally loved it, I continued to do that about three more times. Then I noticed I was only getting one part of him wet. So I leaped into his arms.
And, did I mention, his arms are very strong. He is in all of the sports except cheerleading. (I am not to upset that he skipped cheerleading.) He is in Band, Football, Basketball, wrestling, and track. Doesn't that amaze you? Then in the summer he works on a tree farm. Not pansy stuff, we're talking break your back hard. So when I jumped into his arms, he didn't fall down, he could hold my weight. I'm only about 98 pounds, but still, it was magical. I held on for a while, my feet not on the ground, then released my death grip. It was one of the most magical moments of my life! Then he asked us where we were going to sit for lunch. I replied that I didn't know. I didn't eat my lunch, I was dazzled, and my stomach was already full of butterflies. He did follow me to where my friends ate, though. Then My girlfriends and I went to the stream, because the teachers said if they saw me swim again, they would take me home. I wasn't gonna let that happen, so I went in a stream behind some bushes to get wet. I laid down in the stream and Liz started taking pictures of me. Then I saw Zach staring bewildered at me. So I got out and lurched after him. He ran away at first, but when he was brave enough to come back, I tackled him. Then he started falling down, and I fell on top of him. I put him in a headlock, and Liz was STILL taking pictures! Then It was time to go back home.
When we got to the bleachers for the last 30 minutes of school, we realized that the guys bus got there before the girls bus. So Zach and I were really far apart. Then we noticed that he was scooting over, person by person, towards us. When he was only about ten people away, my friends started calling him over. I buried my head in my hands from embarrassment. He came over and I started trying to get the most embarrassing pictures of him. I succeeded. I heard someone, a girl named Kendra, call his name, and he went over to talk to her. I didn't know it at the time, but they were going out and she thought he was flirting with me, so she dumped him. Then Liz started asking if he liked me. Then HE asked if I liked HIM. Liz repeated her question, and he told her to tell me that he would talk to me Sunday. (he goes to the same church as me). I left as light as a feather, Heavy as a rock, tall as a tree, and small as an ant all at the same time.
My sister was graduating from the eighth grade, so I went to graduation, and guess who was there? That's right, Zach. So Zach was there way earlier than I was, so we had seats on the other side of the gym from him. (sob, *sniff*). I noticed him staring at me a LOT, and I returned the favor. We were barely ever watching the graduation! We were staring at each other. After graduation, we met outside and we talked for a while, then his ride showed up. While walking side-by-side to his car, he asked,
"Don't I get a goodbye hug?" With a goofy grin slapped across his face.
"Maaaaaaybe...." I said slyly, giving him a short side hug.
"You call that a hug? Well I guess I'll Take it THIS time, but you gotta give me a better hug next time!" He said, that goofy grin still spread from ear to ear.
"We'll see. Hey! What's your phone number?!" I asked, watching him slowly slip away.
"555-3333!" He replied.
"Mine is 555-7777" I shouted, he had to leave soon, his brother was beckoning him over to him.
We said goodbye, and I headed inside to embarrass my sister.
The next day, I was so scared, I couldn't call him. Obviously I had to, but it was nerve wracking. I made list of questions to ask, and looked up stuff on the Internet. I talked to my friends, and they said it was just like talking to a best friend. Well, in the long run, they were right. I talked to him longer than I've talked to any of my friends before. Over two hours! I was so embarrassed over nothing! It was way easy! And, Im invited to his birthday party.....
so... do yal think he likes me?
