Our Application has a java web server for handling client request, which is coexisting with .Net Application. This application was developed similar to chat server based application.

In this application we face two problems.
1) When client connects to application by typing the URL the system is not able to find the IP because the IP is local intranet IP of shared client.

2) Applet clients developed in this application are JDK 1.4.0 dependent as swings are incorporated. Applets are used to communicate between different clients connected to our application. Problem arises when the client connects to the web application. The applet will not work if the client is behind the firewall and the application throws a Security Exception and Http Connection Failed error
