A european heater that says 220V single phase but in the circuit diagram it shows 3 wires going in each labeled 220V and the third one labeled ground. From my factory floor in Canada what would be my wiring strategy? I know, that   between two legs (L1 and L2) I can get 208V -220V and any one of the leg to neutral would give me 120V. So if the equipment says single phase, is'nt connecting L1 and L2 and a Neutral is 2Phase? Is it the case that 2 Phase supply is usually called as 1 phase?
