I have a 10 year old son who has a green card. he has lived in the US for 9 years and now has been in Colombia for 5 months. I have also my Green card and have lived in the Us for 9 years. His Green card says "waived" on it. My question is.. can he stay in Colombia for more than 6 months en re-entry the US with no problem? Will this affect his right to have his citizenship if I am the one who is going to apply for my citizenship? Thank you!
