what is the best age to breed a rat terrier?

i would say a good age is about 10 years old

Carly, the best age to bread your rat is around 18 months.  They will come into heat at around 7-8 months of age but it is not always advisable to bread on the first heat.  You should always wait till the second to be safe.

Ten years old is crazy. I say you should start young like 1 or 2 years old.

They say to let the female go through one heat before breeding her, she will go into heat at about 6 months old. After that she will go into heat again at about 1 year. (They go into heat every 6 months) Then it should be safe to breed her.
