I have an 86 Dodge Omni GLH turbo, under a load at around 3500 rpm it backfires and the power lose light comes on. I have replaced all the sensors and injectors could this be a turbo problem?

If it's backfiring, you're running rich. Check your spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor for starters.

I doubt it's a turbo problem.

Nice car BTW! That was one impressive little Omni in it's day.

Check your vacuum lines, particularly to the MAP sensor on the computer located under the passenger side kick panel.  If this is loose or leaking, this can cause what you are describing.  The cutout you are describing happened to me when my line to the Map sensor got unplugged.

if you have a powerloss light on there will  be a code logged in the computer . to get the code put the key in the ignition. turn key on off on off on then watch powerloss light flash codes. count the flashes then there will be a pause, then flash again there may be more than one code so write down the flashes. all codes are two digit, you will know when the codes are done flashing when 55 flashes. if you don't see the light flash you didn't turn the key far enough.call the local dodge dealer to find out what the codes mean.or contact me.i had 3 turbo  glh cars.i am a mopar head. good luck

Here is my ? Did you just change the timing belt? If you did, then checked the timing you would have seen it was advanced. You need to unplug the timing advance. Now you can set the timing. This is the first procedure in the manual, but it is often over looked.Trust me I have first hand experiance.
