      The Matheson Twins

          1. The Rope Loss
In the mountains of Sherwood there is a little country called Lakeville, where a small wooden house stands beside a slimy lake that swooshes around in the day. In the house lives a happy Matheson family. The twins are named Rachel and Theo. Rachel is a great child who loves making friends and Theo loves playing games like chasey. The father is into chopping wood and going on the boat with the twins and the Mother helps them get tucked into bed. It all starts on one hot summer day when Rachel and Theo were out playing. “Hay Rachel want to play chasey again?.” “Ok Theo”. Rachel was running around when she lost her balance and fell into the forest. Down the hill Rachel went until she hit the bottom. The hill was too steep so she yelled out “Theo, Theo are you there?” “Rachel is that you?” “I’m scared” Rachel cries. Theo new he had to help his sister so he got up and went to get dad or mum. Rachel sat there in the darkness waiting, trembling with fear and nearly crying. Then she heard a familiar voice. It was her dad yelling out. The father’s arm was too short so he asked his wife to find some rope. She went off leaving the dad with the twins. About five minuets later the mum was still looking for some rope so the dad had decided that he’ll go help look. The twins were left alone.

2. Going Right
This is where all it went wrong. Theo thought maybe he could help so he tried to put his arm down there but instead he put his whole body down there. Now Theo was down there and the parents couldn’t hear them. They had no choice but to go finding a way out of bush. Theo had suggested going right. Rachel was very scared because Rachel is one of those girls who don’t like bugs. They’d walked about 30 feet when they had both heard a noise. It seemed to be coming from the way they had come. It kind of sounded as if an animal was walking in the bushes. They looked at each other and started to scream. Then off they went running on sticks and dry leaves, which made them even more freaked out. When they got to a big old oak tree they stopped and looked back but there was no sign of any live movement.

“I, I think we lost it.” Said Rachel. The both of them had lost their way they’d been going. So they’d decided to go right again.

3. Getting Late

The both of them started talking to each other to keep calm and forget about what had happened. “So Theo what are you going to do when we find a way back”. “Umm I think I might give mum and dad a nice a big hug”. “Hey don’t scratch Rachel because that really hurt”. But when Theo turned around he saw nothing. He looked down saw what had scratched him, it was a stick. It was getting really late. They got in some fern that was a bit wet and decided to lie down on it.

4. Calling For Help
When their Mum and Dad had found some rope they saw that the twins had gone. The both of them started going up and down the sides of the forest. They yelled so much but it didn’t change anything. The twins were too far to hear them. The mother rushed into the house and picked up the phone, she rang all the neighbours and all of their friends and family. But the first people she rang were the police and the fireman. The idea was to split up. They searched high and low but there was no sign of the twins. The Mother said a lot to the police. “You just got to find my babies and get them back or I’ll be so sad, won’t be able sleep. When you find them you’ll be the greatest of the other men. And no giving up or you’ll be sued because you’re the man that helps people not just sit on your buttocks right.”  The police could not believe how much she said but it was quite a lot.

5. Who Was That Man
In town there was a parlor. The man who sat in the parlor was old but very wise. He had blackish grey hair with some white in it. It nearly looks grey but not quite. He was sipping a nice cup of tea when the lady that owned the shop came over to him. “Hey Jones I thought you would have been in the hunt.” Mr. Jones had put his cup down witch had been finished. He stared at the lady with his big brown eyes that looked like marbles. “What hunt?” said Jones with a heavy voice. “Up near the old creek forest. The Matheson’s twins. They got lost in the forest, Rachel and Theo. Too bad it’s cold out tonight they’ll be so cold the darlings”. Mr. Jones got to his feet and went right to the door. Before the waiter could say something he was gone.

6.   Happy Twins Are Safe
The search was still on and there were still tears of the twins gone. One of the police was getting close but the twins didn’t here them call. He started to go back toward the camp that they set up that night. The twins were still a sleep when there was a sudden growl in the bushes. Then the both of them sat up so straight that they had pins and needles. “Hey Rachel is that you?” said Theo with a sudden chill. Rachel didn’t say a thing.
Then a tall man came into view. It was Mr. Jones that started to a step. The twins were so scared because they weren’t allowed to be talking to a stranger. Then he started to yell in a loud kids yell, it sounded like Theo but Theo wasn’t yelling. Then he said to them you’re safe know. The old man walked in to the bushes and never came out.

7.   They Waited For The Man
The young twins were found but being safe was not the best thing on there minds now. The both of them still thought about the man that called out in Theo’s voice. The grown-ups didn’t get what they were saying and thought that they had a cold. The kids still look out waiting to see the man again but the only thing they saw was a wombat. So as they grew up they started to save people. So they did and they saved a lot of people in the woods. But not Mr. Jones.
