My computer is a little bit old.  I am able to access the internet, but unable to download MSM messenger or yahoo messenger.  What can I do

versions of Windows 98 and onward came with Windows Messenger (the generic version of the MSN messenger), however earlier versions came with other chat protocols.  However, it would be helpful if you could put the version of Windows, processor speed and RAM available on your computer, together with a description of the problem when you try to download MSN or Yahoo messenger.
