looking for an example in C++ dealing with a Hash Table using a file and using buckets for collision.

C++ doesn't have a standardized hash_map, but they have been working on it, and many people have libraries for download.  Altogether it is a mess and makes C++ look pathetic next to Java/C#/etc.
