My golden/lab mix 1 year old wags his tail so hard it bleeds getting blood all over.  We have tried to dress it with all kinds of things which either fall off or are pulled off by the dog.  Short of cutting off the tail is there anything which will stop this bleeding?

seriously consider docking the tail, it will save your carpets clothes and furniture from blood stains but will also cure the dog of suffering everytime it wags its tail
